ATRL has a myth that Nick's gay support started only because he released a solo album...
And another myth is that it's "gay pandering" since they're convinced he only tweets "I love my gay fans" and goes to gay clubs "all the time" but he hasn't done anything to help.
That's why, I'll explain why you are wrong... Read below before posting anything:

UPDATE: 2016: Nick Jonas CANCELS tour dates in North Caroline to repudiate anti LGBTQ+ law
2002, yeah I meant 2002. IT'S HOW LONG HIS SUPPORT HAS BEEN GOING ON.
2002: Nick in an album to support Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS "CAROLS FOR A CURE"
Quote:
Nick Jonas (of the Jonas Brothers) sings a solo with the company of Beauty and the Beast, which may be his first studio recording ever! This CD exclusively benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
2012: Nick interviewed about education, stereotypes, marriage equality, etc.
Quote:
Did anyone explain to you that some boys like boys and some girls like girls? I don’t think that conversation needed to be had. I was totally aware, I understood what it meant, and I was totally fine with it. It didn’t confuse me, because I knew it was all about love. I was raised in a really open home where the policy was love.
Yet it was an evangelical Christian home, and your father was a preacher.
My upbringing was faith-based, but we believed you should love all others as you want to be loved, because everyone should be treated equally. That’s helped me have an understanding of people on different journeys and in different walks of life. At the end of the day, we’re all the same, because we all want to be loved. As long as love as the key, we’re in good shape.
I could add a tons more... And all of these are BEFORE he released his solo album. (except the last two, that I still included because people are convinced he never does that kind of stuff)
Now let me finish, if I still didn't convince you. Please tell me, how does his supposed "gay pandering" hurt the community if he also helps and shows support? Even if you don't think it's genuine, even tho you can see he has been supporting since 2002, it's still helping. You can't deny it.
Why don't you spend your time attacking homophobes instead of making up stuff and posting the same interviews about Nick over and over again just to make it seem like he's pandering or believing that "he goes to gay clubs all the time" when it only happened twice.
my boy it sucks that people don't appreciate his intentions, he's been very supportive of the LGBT community since he was little and people always fail to see that for some reason.
I'd rather have him "pander" the gay community that being against it or just being indifferent, like many other male popstars do.
Nice OP
I personally don't think him believing in gay rights =/= pandering
It's just kind of these quotes he says sound a bit forced
I understand, but ATRL has a myth that his "pandering" is only to get sales, when even if that was true (I disagree). He still does some good to the community and has been doing it since 2002. That's why I made this.
If it's 'pandering', I think everyone should do it.
Teach us, king
They're so convinced it's just "pandering" but even if it was true, like you said. Everyone should do it.
I'd rather have him pandering but also helping good causes than all those vanilla straight male artists that don't give a **** about the gay community and never show support.
At the end of the day, "pandering" is actually a good thing because it helps.
The funny thing is, they treat the idea of pandering to the gays as if it was something wrong, whether he does it or not. As if most of their female faves didn't show their bodies and act a certain way to attract the straight male demographic.
I think the saltiness comes mostly from closet cases, internalized homophobia and just overall hateful and bitter people. Let him "pander" to us, his fans, as much as he wants, we don't care about it, why would you?

Teach them
Also, if "pandering" comes with help and support then much better.
They're so insecure.
Why do they act like straight celebs can't like gays without pandering?
Anyways, Nick is KING & this thread just spillT all the tea.
These queens spend all day googling "How to get a straight guy to turn gay" yet wanna act all fake offended when a straight guy embraces the gay community on his own terms.
