God forbid they get media to take their side on something after having Iggy, Macklemore, Bieber, and etc appropriate their culture and get more money, awards, and bigger hits off of it, have Pop Radio whitewash them more than ever, continue to be 'local' while the basic blonde Pop tarts you stan for go #1 in every country releasing the same trash every year, and this on top of the fact there's already less than 5 black girls in the music industry who can even obtain moderate success back to back.

Blacks have it way worse than whites in America, this doesn't change in the music industry. You see Black artists get "exclusive" awards in shows like BET because of the struggles and extra hurdles Black Artists have to get through to get popular in pop culture. Notice how in young hollywood right now in places like Vine, 99% of the "popular viners" and youtubers are white. Cameron Dallas, Nash Grier, Taylor Canif and so on, I can't think of one really popular black viner. In the music industry it's the same way, I think it's an inherent disadvantage to be Black in the media because of all the hate people with color get over white artists, just like in "real life". And mess at the people saying Taylor got the short end of the stick in the Taylor vs Nicki feud, it was Nicki by far who got the most backlash and hate. I guess if you look at the surface of the music industry, you see lots of Black artists getting acclaimed and in the news, but it is nowhere near more than white artists. I understand it's not going to be a 50 50 split, and it has gotten better then it was decade ago, but it's extremely unjust to say white artists have it worse than black artists because that's not true in any shape or form

Well, it's easier for them to get crossover airplay unlike white artists.

In what ****ing world? Kanye West gets more mockery and derision in the media than almost any other artist I can think of. Granted, a lot of it is merited, but still...

America cenrtainly make sure that there's token black celebrity in the industry. Most black artist benefit from affirmative action.
Do you agree?
