So we know the good sis Jen was known in the past for having some female vocalists sing parts in her songs secretly, I was going through the credits for her first three albums and why does she have so many females who were vocalists/featured on the song but not credited. Some were just background singers in a tiny part probably but a lot of these names were on like 60% of the album, or worked on multiple albums so it's clear they weren't just doing "a tiny bit of background vocals" Which ones did the main singing

The Tyler Perry of the music industry...... giving jobs to Black/Latina singers in need. What a philanthropist!

For her first 3 albums J-Lo had a lot of assistance in the vocal department, but only during the choruses. She clearly sang all the tracks herself, but during the choruses her vocals were BURIED underneath other singers for some odd reason. She herself said how insecure she was as a singer until she married Marc Anthony, and it shows because on every album released after the two of them hooked up she sang all the leads and most of the backups.

I mean, when you listen to a song like "If You Had My Love," for example, it's crystal clear that she sings the verses, and then other people sing the chorus. Happens a lot in her earlier work, but it doesn't diminish how flawless the bops remain.
