Is Gen 7 here? Could this be an evolution to an already known Pokémon, like Floette? All these questions will be answered soon, when the magazine Coro Coro spills the tea this week. While new Pokémon announcements implies that a new generation is in the works, it is unlikely that the first Gen 7 games will be released for 3DS. We also have Gen 6 content like the new Zygarde forms and Mega Greninja yet to be featured in the games, so this could mean another Munchlax situation, being a Gen 4 pokémon revealed before the final gen 3 game was announced.

What are your type guesses? For the sillhoute, it seems to have leaves or flowers (a theme that will be recurrent in future games) so it could be Grass or Fairy. Other people are speculating that this Pokémon was already teased two years ago in X/Y, which featured a statue of a currently unknown Pokémon.

We shouldn't forget that on February 27th, The Pokémon Company will held a large event in New York which promises new announcements. Could the new games be revealed there? Is Pokémon Z coming, or would it be sequels like BW2? Are you here for this POKÉMONdiaRy era, getting things little by little while no album in sight? Is Game Freak afraid to release? Are they coming? Too many questions, but it seems like this month we will already get our answers.

Some are speculating that the Pokémon name could come from "Gia" ギア (which means gear), and "Va" う
which is a type of bird that lives by the sea and sort of resembles the figure teased.



Other theories are that the name could be a play of the latin word "Machina", which means Machine or "Vagina", which would weirdly reference the chromosome aesthetic from Gen 6, but is unlikely to be the real meaning behind the name.
