It's nearly written in the stars that she wins but it's not out of the question. Sanders' narrow path to the nom included taking 1 of the first 2 states (he accomplished that tonight), winning Nevada or South Carolina, and then drawing even with her Super Tuesday.

Talk about economic revolution is empty because historically white progressive initiatives (see: New Deal) have left out blacks. Bernie needs to convince black people that his policies are realistic and that he can actually win in November. I don't see it.

And on the topic of endorsements, the only one that would REALLY sway any sort of black vote is President Obama himself. And he won't be saying anything.

Obama's talk of economic revolution was one reasons he beat Hilary when she was leading with Blacks in 08. Hilary was the pragmatic choice in 08, and we see how that went.

Hillary was leading Obama heavily amongst blacks until Obama proved he was electable by winning a majority white state in Iowa. Then she swiftly killed her campaign against him by using racialized rhetoric in the lead up to SC.

Without that second part Clinton probably at least runs close with Obama and thus wins the nomination. But Obama was given a chance because PRAGMATIC voters saw him as viable after winning Iowa. Not transferable to Bernie winning NH as a white guy from the state next door.

Winning Iowa was not the only reason, his rhetoric and belief he'd make their lives better economically was a huge factor

I was very young back then, but watching their debates now makes be cringe. Hillary is no Obama and never will be. Same with Bernie.

It wasn't the only but it was the biggest because it led them to see a black man as a viable candidate. So of course he'd run up huge numbers with them even over someone like Clinton.

To be fair, she did make him a better candidate.he was better prepared for the GE debates than he would have been otherwise.
