Police are human. They're fallible and capable of mistakes and even committing crimes and injustices like other humans.

If anything, when an institution exhibits a higher level of professionalism and good judgement it's easier to respect and abide by their rules. Reducing instances of police brutality benefits the black community, the police, and the nation as a whole. It's pretty black and white (no pun intended).

seriously i say this all the time. people where im from are so quick to call cops "pigs" but as soon as they need them they call them and expect them to get there fast.

See, this line of thinking, I think, is a pretty obvious distraction from the real problem. No one wants to talk about police brutality (especially against blacks) cause it highlights how much further we still have to go. And I think so many people don't want to confront that issues within themselves, their families, or their communities. It's easier to turn a blind eye and continually encourage minorities to lead their troubles in silence.

No police officer who goes out there everyday and does his job respectfully and justly would be offended by anything Beyonce said because Beyonce did not attack police officers, she attacked racism and the cops and people who perpetuate it. Anyone in law enforcement offended by her performance is outting themselves.
