That's because every part of what Kendrick did was fresh and important.
It was all his own ideas and it was a masterpiece.
And it all just so happened to work out with the status quo.
Beyonce looked at what he did and Twitter trends. And then directly copy pasted ideas from a documentary. The message was great, though, just not very original and kinda gimmicky.
