Yeah, i agreed with that. But she definitely tried to shift it with Cannibal + Warrior, and her personality/behaviour was often too innapropriate for children/pre-teens.
I think what it is, is that our age group/generation have so much influence with music charts and artist success because we grew up with digital sales/charts so we are the most invested in it. 4-6 yesrs ago there was a lot more bubble gum /electro pop and now its more mature indie-pop/electronic music because we (the generation who has the most influence) have grown up. We dont't want to hear cheesy pop songs about partying and loving life so much anymore, instead we prefer songs with a more mature content/sound because we are older, hence why does sings/artists have more success.
Just my two cents.
