I figured that she was quite one-dimensional as an actress after her continuous roles as a bitch in AHS and Scream Queens but I watched Adult World starring herself alongside John Cusack and Evan Peters and it showed a different side of her acting.
Although her role was refreshing and made me think different of her abilities, all I could think of the entire time was how much she reminded me of this girl..
I posted a thread similar to this not too long ago and the consensus seemed to be that she is great at playing the bitchy character, but she is limited to that role and lacks versatility.
I've seen most of her movies and she actually has a wide amount of range and versatility that you wouldn't expect. she always brings the most to a character that could have easily fallen flat with another actress her age. She's great tbh
She kind of got role set into the bitchy character, similarly to Zooey Deschanel always playing a quirky love interest or Micheal Cera playing an awkward role. That doesn't mean she's a bad actress, she's actually done really well with the roles given to her.
