I didn't see the game myself and I watch every year. Instead decided to go to work and make overtime. TBH I was neither interested in the team's playing or Coldplay. My co-workers were also disappointed with Coldplay as the halftime act. There is a reason the NFL announced ahead of time Beyonce and Bruno.

On the other hand, Katy set the bar too high. Queen of the GP.

I think the pre announced performers of course must have an impact on the viewing figures. Whether the performances were enjoyable for people or not isn't going to have had an impact on whether people have previously decided in advance whether they plan to watch it or not.

Missy was an unannounced special guest so therefore won't have been any factor in encouraging people to tune in as they wouldn't have known about it

I know most of you are probably not fans of football, but the ratings are a reflection of the game.

Everyone tuned in with excitement and then the game was just horrible and Cam Newton and the Panthers did not deliver. It makes sense that ratings declined as it went on. It has nothing to do with certain individuals.

more than the biggest moments of the game according to Twitter/GMA. So clearly, this game was doomed from the start as evident from the constant drops every half an hour leading up to the halftime and then just dropping like a brick right after. This is way more fun tho.

Yesterday everyone including myself were claiming everyone and the GP only were watching the HTS for Beyoncé, and now that the numbers are a complete flop is all Coldplay's fault. I mean yes the were boring AF, but you can't blame them completely for this.
