A Grammy is awarded for musical excellence, a #1 is achieved when sales, airplay and streaming are in your favor.

My fave has multiple of both anyway.

ffff what kinda question of course #1 people get in that industry to get MONEY its their job. Of course its nice and flattering to have a GRAMMY but that won't make your music more successful/more known unless you are already a successful artist.

So Esperanza G won a GRAMMY for best new artist some years ago, Katy Perry does not have a GRAMMY but have multiple #1's all over the world and multi platinum selling singles. Are you telling me some people think Esperanza's GRAMMY its more impressive than Katy's achievements?? The GRAMMYS aint all that tbh like I said its nice to have that in your resume but success>>>a GRAMMY.

#1s. I'd rather have a song that is on every radio, every streaming service, TV channel, a song that people talk about and sing wherever they go, than have an award that very few people will care about outside the fan-base and pop culture geeks.

Although it's grammy season #1's are still more impressive.
