Some of us didn't really grow up in gay-friendly areas with access to LGBT+ spaces, so gay apps can be more beneficial than just "going outside" if you're wanting to meet other gay people.

Also, dating apps can generally make dating/whatever you want to use them for easier, so what's the problem with using them? Yawn.
The conversation on Tinder is pretty flat but it's the app where people are the most willing to meet up for something a little more meaningful. Grindr's purpose is pretty straightforward. Hornet is underrated but it's basically a slightly fancier Grindr. They're the only ones I use, though I have used Jack'd and Scruff, neither of which were really for me.
