I don't agree either. I'm relatively more shy, but it doesn't mean I'm not interested. I don't just meet everybody.

My advice would be to avoid the apps and bars. If you're really looking to meet someone, try to meet them in everyday life. So many guys are just looking to hookup, don't get hurt by believing their lies.

I have to be able to text a guy I'm going to go on a date with for at least a week (5-6 days at the VERY least). And I don't do quick hook-ups on the first date. So I let it be known.

Gay culture is too hookup-centric imho. Not a fan. It's much more fulfilling to such for guys who take dating a little more seriously.
