You're still doing the same thing. Attending a conference set up by another person who spews violent anti-gay rhetoric is not the same thing as the actual candidate saying it. Neither Cruz, Jindal nor Hubackee would ever dare say those same things as Swanson said about killing gays because "liberal media" would eat it up and destroy them. And the Trump comparison is ridiculous. Everyone (including conservatives and not just liberals) responded to Trump's about Mexicans because he said them himself and because they were outrageous.

And no, liberals did not just ask "one or two questions and went home." They're the ones who covered this and the reason why you learned about it and were able to embed that video in the first post. They're the ones who forced Cruz and Huckabee to actually do damage control when reporters told them about Swanson's previous quotes about killing gay people.

Damage control? They dodged the questions and said they support religious freedom. Then the issue was dropped like it was nothing to appear at an event, be introduced by the genocide lover and speak there about said issues.

It's like RTing something in agreement and then saying "well, I didn't say it so you can't be mad at me about it". He was there because he agreed with what was being presented. The genocide speech literally happened seconds before he was introduced.

Of course it was damage control. They're not obligated to respond to "liberal media." They did respond because they had to distance themselves from Swanson and play dumb after all the articles about them attending a Swanson event were published by "liberal media." The issue was dropped because there was nothing else to say. They attended, "liberal media" reported it along with Swanson's previous quotes, they were confronted about it by "liberal media" and they played dumb saying they had no idea Swanson said those things and they were just attending because they support "religious freedom" for Christians. It's actually believable that he had no idea because Swanson is a nobody outside Internet blogs.

I don't see any liberals "swatting away the issue," but that's exactly what you've done with other issues I presented when you put Islamophobia in quotes and claimed "liberal media" put more emphasis on it than homophobia (still ridiculous nonsense, by the way). Definitely hypocrisy on your part.

And where did I say that Swanson didn't say it at the conference? I was referring to Ted Cruz and the others saying they had no idea about him before attending the conference. They were confronted on why attended a conference set up by a person like Swanson.
