I know some gays try to argue that they're "reclaiming" the word, but it seems to me that when gays use the f-word, they're typically using it in a degrading way towards the more effeminate men in our community... which means that they're not actually positively reclaiming it, but perpetuating homophobia and misogyny within the gay community.

I use ****** when talking about men that have catty or cowardly methods of dealing with conflict. Regardless of sexual orientation, but I will admit I've used it towards straight men, bc it's a easy way of demasculinizing them. Also, if you're relating this to the n-word, ****** does not have nearly the insidious history that the n-word does so stop.

People should be able to say whatever they want
BUT
Dont be upset if you reclaim a word and find people outside of that group saying it. If you want a word to be taboo, the only way to make it taboo is to prevent everyone from using it
