For those of you in Southern California, like I am, you're probably more familiar with it under the name of Ralph's or Food 4 Less.
In fact, these are all the names you might know Kroger as:
Baker's Supermarkets (Omaha, Nebraska)
City Market (Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico)
Dillons Food Stores (Kansas, Missouri)
Fry's Food & Drug (Arizona)
Gerbes Super Markets (Central Missouri)
Harris Teeter (North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Maryland, Delaware, and the District of Columbia)
Jay C (Southern Indiana)
King Soopers (Colorado, Wyoming)
Kroger (Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia)
Owen's (Northeastern Indiana)
Pay Less Super Markets (Central Indiana)
QFC (Oregon, Washington State)
Ralphs (Southern California)
Roundy's (Pick 'n Save, Mariano's Fresh Market, Metro Market, Copp's) (Wisconsin, Illinois )
Scott's (Fort Wayne, Indiana)
Smith's (Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming)
So with that said, I shop at Ralph's for our groceries. There is one down the street from where I live.
Target and Walmart are good in their own rights. Target is great for new music and ivdeo games. Walmart is good for things like socks and underwear and dog food.

For food - Kroger when I was in Georgia (or Ralph's since I'm in California now). Walmart and Target just don't compare.
For Clothes - Target at times, ngl.
For everything else: Wal-Mart (electronics, toiletries, pet stuff, plant stuff, etc)

kroger's deli and low prices are great tbh Wal mart isn't as expensive with their electronics as target is and that's the only reason I'd ever use Target.
Kroger > Wal Mart > Target

Kroger is on a whole new level compared to Walmart and Target.
Targets (at least in Memphis) literally have far worse and less organic foods than Walmart, which in turn has far less than Kroger. Talent shops at Kroger.

Walmart slays. I like Target but it's really not that great. We only have a branch of Kroger where I live called King Soopers and I only know of one that's comparable two the other two. The rest are regular grocery stores

They just think it makes the seem richer tbh

Target. The Walmarts around me are too ghetto, dirty/messy, and the employees are horrible
