Weed - I wanted to try it because most of the music I liked and my favorite people smoked. I realized it helped my anxiety a lot so I haven't stopped since.
Tobacco - I started smoking in college as a way to socialize more. At my school, everyone would hang outside the parties smoking cigs and that was like the easiest way to make friends. I've never gotten addicted to it though. I can smoke for weeks straight and stop with no withdrawals.
