I'm more disturbed by the jarring, negligent grammar than by what he said.
I get the point behind gay pride events, definitely. I do think they're a tad extreme and play too much into the stereotype of what it means to be gay (extremely sexual, shallow, etc.). I enjoy them because they have events that are entertaining and for some people, that may be their only chance to openly be who they are in public, but I do find them to be a tad crass and tacky.
OP: If this person is annoying you with homophobic statuses, unfriend him or unfollow him. It's not that difficult.
