Language isolates are also so mysterious. Basque people look white, but their language predates the arrival of white people to Europe? So how did it come to be?

I've been fascinated by this too. Not on that degree though, but more in the form of how groups of people communicated and how words were shared among groups. For example, I descend from the Wonnarua tribe (Indigenous Australian here) and I have been doing my research and words differed through out the region. It's all really fascinating to me.
