There is no benefit. Fall semester is devoted to helping freshmen adjust to college and has a lot of events to help nurture that. Also, the weather is so terrible during the winter. I can't imagine starting in the spring semester.

fall is from September to the end of december, winter is from january to the end of april, spring is from may to the end of june and summer is from the end of june to the end of august. our summer and spring semesters are very short



yeah michigan has a weird way of organizing semesters
