No. I'm a true beginner in the gym, and I've been seriously lifting weights (albeit light weights) for a month now. I think I'll try to gain mass till the end of April, and from then on include half an hour of cardio with every workout so I can get some definition in my belly. Petoral muscles are starting to show, and my legs are getting really big. Don't know about arms though, I don't include arm-specific exercises in my workout (bench press, deadlift, overhead press and barbell row should be good enough, right? Or should I include some dumbbell bicep exercises).
Most definitely. Biceps curls with dumbbells and pull ups in a bar.
But don't forget your triceps, triceps dip in a bar and overhead extension with a dumbbell (can be each at a time or a heavier dumbbell for both arms at the same time) are my favorite exercises.
