First of all, Madonna can be an amazing singer.
second of all, Madonna is very creative, political, and outspoken. David respected her. Did he like her? I don't know. He referenced being with Madonna and sean before, maybe they hung out. I don't think they were close friends. HOWEVER, He didn't love the other one this topic's about AT ALL. and that's a fact.
and third, if bowie would read what you are saying he would be disgusted by putting down artists just based on vocals. there's nothing more boring than a technically "good" singer. if you have nothing to say, that ahem "voice" is useless.
I don't know if Madonna would be good to do this today, but to say "she's not worth it" is unfair too. I think she would do an amazing job if it was done a certain way that fits her and if they rehearsed a lot, an intimate way, or something very special.. but they could've thought of something
gaga? that's a joke. and the hypocrisy of the grammys.. they don't give a **** about bowie. this is all just a promotion for gaga again
and I don't think gaga loved him a lot. her promo team probably just put his symbol on her head to make her a little different for a photo. she was hanging out with her boyfriend on the beach when he died. when your fav artist dies you won't stop talking about it in someway or let out steam. you are not quiet (or having fun on the beach) the same day
I agree with Briseis that some of his group of friends should do it. it would be sincere and real
