That one leaked 10 days in advance + half of it was performed at the Itunes festival 2 MONTHS in advance and still debuted with 260k and sold 2M WW.

No, there are users on this forum who do not live in the United States and downloaded the album from the link Rihanna posted. The link as we all know was capped at 1,000,000 downloads. Therefore, it is a fact that 1m free downloads of ANTI did not occur within the United States, not an assumption.

AntiDiary was promotion. Yes, it was terribly executed and the public clearly didn't care...but that doesn't disqualify it as promotion.

It was lavish promotion nonetheless too. Commercials at Award Shows, an application, lasted for a few months, etc.

Seriously though. Who the **** cares how much the album sells. Do y'all stan for Rihanna because of her success and sales or because of her music?
If she served you with an amazing album, just leave all the negativity behind and just enjoy the music.
If people want to drag the album's sales or whatever, let them. It says more about them, than it does about you or Rihanna.
This is why the music industry is a lost cause. SALES. CHARTS. AWARDS. RECORDS. CERTIFICATIONS. MILLIONS. People care more about all these, instead of the actual music. And that's ****ED. UP.
If you like the damn album, GO LISTEN TO IT THEN. Instead of being stuck here trying to defend the album's sales and chart positions.

I'm a fan of physical albums so buying on iTunes wasn't even an option for me. Can't wait for the 5th and help Icon get her biggest second week sales ever!

Anyway, I don't care about what you expected. I, as a Navy, experienced everything about this "era", and I honestly expected less (given the circumstances). So I'm more than happy, cause most importantly I got an album I really love.
