Are the Navy using the 'no promotion' excuse? REALLY? Because if i remember correctly, when the Hive said Beyonce had no promo for self titled, the Navy tried to 'drag' by saying that making the album a surprise release was the biggest promo plan she could have.
So, can we consider the whole Kiss It Better's producer fiasco promo?
ANTi being randomly released for free promotion?
Samsung promotion?
ANTi Diary promotion?
ANTi tour promotion?
Enough with the excuses. If you all like the damn album, just be ****ing HAPPY about it and stop worrying about charts and sales and people dragging Rihanna or whatever. I still haven't heard the album, but i will definitely check it out because a lot of people are saying it's probably her best work.
Just, appreciate and enjoy the MUSIC. That's the most important part.

The 1m copies were given away around the world and considering Rihanna's often cited 'globalness' I'd venture to guess that the great majority of them were downloaded outside the US. Meaning the giveaway affected her sales - but just barely.
Secondly, sub 100k pure sales is not a good look at all for an artist of Rihanna's stature. Not sure why the Navy is being so cavalier about these alarming sales.

No, the NAVY does NOT have low standards, we're taking all things into account, nothing Rihanna has done this era goes in hand in hand with what we expected her to do (musically, promo etc) let's be honest (Ironically, I guess that's why this is the ANTI era). Not them acting like this 125k number is a death for Rih when literally Five of her seven albums released previously opened with numbers under 200k and managed to go platinum six times.

Ahhhh wat were the Samsung ads during award shows? Ads running during high rating tv shows? Or that room thingy? Multi performances? Cut that no promo bs.

You have no idea where the 1M copies were downloaded. You also don't know how much pure sales are actually going to be next week.

Apparently this is the Hive trying to seek revenge for everything the Navy did to them (???) Pre self titled but yall gonna have to do better. Rih just debuted at #9 and will be heading to #1 on BB100 with an album that was downloaded 1 million times in a day from Tidal that was not even on ITUNES yet nor has even had a physical release. Keep calm.

NO PHYSICAL ALBUM, 1M FREE COPIES IN THE SLOWEST RELEASE MONTH, NO SPOTIFY are some good excuses, though, and denying this makes hating on it delusional.

125k is pure sales + track equivalent units + streaming equivalent units. Check iTunes and tell me how many of her songs are charting.
She's doing less than 100k in pure sales.
