Update: A TIDAL representative has reached out with the following clarifications to Kim’s comments. In regards to TIDAL’s “systems error,” Kim is “referring to a system error caused by Universal Music Group. The error was not something TIDAL caused.”
In regards to Kim’s comment that Billboard and Nielsen are not counting ANTI’s sales on TIDAL toward their totals, TIDAL has clarified with the following statement: “Billboard and Nielsen are counting ANTI’s sales on TIDAL towards their totals, [but] they aren’t counting the Samsung/Rihanna download code gift to fans. The 400k+ sales of ANTI via TIDAL will be counted by Billboard.”
Tidal is WW, Rih is my number one but no way she did 400k domestic in that short time on TIDAL of all places. The album is a great success no matter what but don't get ahead of yourselves girls
I can't see ANTI doing 4/5 of Unapologetic's FW sales in 15 hours with sales exclusively on TIDAL in only the US. That would be really impressive though. Plus, the hype for ANTI seemed bigger than the hype for Unapologetic, so it could be true.
I don't get why she's paying dust to BBHMM on ANTI... It's one of her biggest urban hits and it would fit the album quite well. I guess she wanted a "new fresh start", but that track was already the first step into her new, more mature sound and the evolved artist integrity...
I agree completely..of the singles she released last year bbhmm fits anti well and could easily have been added to the album. But ultimately I think she's mad at Kanye and wants to completely erase his existence off her album...he claimed coproducer credits on bbhmm.
These numbers might actually be right....when I was trying to download the album for free I had a hard time entering in my email...it literally wouldn't work for me for the first 30min...maybe that's why so many people opted to purchase the album instead. Either way, there's no way it's just US, has to be WW if anything
second number one debut here we come
