No thanks. Millions still watch X-Factor (UK) and find it entertaining even if most winners don't amount to anything - we still have acts like Fleur East, Ella Henderson and Little Mix coming through. The only reason people use the 'they dont make any stars' line is because we actually know their names (for a little while). Hundreds of artists come and go every year, we don't just know about it because we never watched/heard of them before. Besides, most people watch the show just to watch it, not to find their new favorite popstar.
And he was doing decently too.
