I'm just happy Rihanna delivered her best album, successfully purging the one-dimensional tasteless fans. She's smart.
I like listening to it in two halves, split between the heartfelt songs and the ratchet ones. The ratchet ones are cool but she is SHINING on the mature tracks this album
It's not shade, it's tea. I love me some Higher but it's not a full song, it's an interlude.
Just because it's short doesn't mean it's not a full song. By that definition all of the old soul singers have nothing by interludes. The songs length reflects where the inspiration came from.

Lol pls. I'm far from one dimensional. I love all the genres she incorporated into her album. They just simple were not executed well. No original ideas and barely any attention to detail. I can't say any if the songs were awful, but they certainly weren't great either.

If the lyricism wasn't so appalling this album could have been in the 80 or even 90s on metacritic. When the production is basic, the lyrics can't be basic too. You can't have it both ways
