To be fair, the GP don't keep up with album certification. Who pays attention to RIAA certifications aside from stans? She gave us the music and that's all the GP cares about. If the songs take off, it takes off and that's great. Even more exposure.

Even if she did or didn't cheat, it's still embarrassing. If she truly wanted to give out the albums for free as a gift to the Navy, she wouldn't be bragging about it on Twitter. She obviously knew what she was doing and it's actually quite sad for her fans to think that she in any way , shape or form cares about them when this is a clear marketing trick done in order to save her from the embarrassing numbers.

It's obvious now more than ever that Rihanna truly only cares about success. She claimed that this album would be full of timeless hits, but she put out Work as the lead single purely because it was the most mainstream song on the record + the Drake feature.

This whole era is a trainwreck and instead of putting out a decent album and moving away with her life, she decided to completely embarrass herself and drag this disaster down even further.

Mihanna sat back and let people take the cookies, and even though they didn't pay, she got a Cookie Seller Award too, and people said that she got the Cookie Seller Award the quickest because her Uncle paid for them all in advance and they were gone quicker.
By letting Samsung literally purchase her a Platinum plaque, Rihanna totally devalued the work of those who actually put time and effort into putting out their albums and got the same accolades.
