Discussion: How do you deal with Homophobia?

I just over heard a conversation with my sister and her best friend, talking about how they don't think it's natural.
I'm not out yet so I couldn't really say anything.

So what do you guys do?

If you see someone else being bullied for their sexuality, I think you should stand up for them.

well when you are comfortable enough just say "i like guys" and if they say that its disgusting then just tell them some guys like guys and some guys like girls.thats just the way it is Hopefully they don't start talking about the bible though

You just need to come with facts. Like, if they say it's not natural then tell them that homosexuality is found in like a million of animal species.

Depends. I don't retaliate to "microaggressions" because I've got better things to do than rant to someone who doesn't really give a damn about how much it oppresses me and harms me when I don't care that much either. But if I think someone's made enough of a homophobic remark that it offends me then I'll reply with a short comment about something that makes them insecure, but I'll do it in a "funny" way so that I feel good
