Not it being "Just a song we wrote backstage" and it "just became something awesome" Girl, you recorded it, officially released it despite the other girls' disapproval, recorded a video for it, did interviews for it, and performed it on multiple TV shows and award shows. It was a career move. If that's the way she wants to roll, she needs to accept the fact that there will be backlash and not act so innocent.
