1. No that means there were 1 million downloads.
2. Yes. Downloaded it...for FREE. Like most people do when something is available for free. That still doesn't mean they aren't going to buy it (clearly). And again, it was free for ONE day prior to the release. Most albums are available for free way longer than that on the internet. I'm not getting the logic

Most of the people who downloaded ANTI was navi and they gave 3 links per person so it really wasnt downloaded by 1m people
It's crazy how this era produced no #1 hits, didn't cement anything, has a lower score than ARTPOP on Metacritic, her label had to resort to a Samsung deal because they weren't confident in her selling power, and looks like a joke compared to BEYONCE but people still think 'she won'.
