PVRIS open up about album two, the past and the future in our huge 2016 preview.
Here's a taste of Lynn Gunn's interview...
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING ON THE NEW ALBUM?
"I'm always working on stuff on my computer and the guys are working on theirs. I feel like we started to work on new stuff as soon as the first record came out. When 'White Noise' was released, we were like, 'Okay, we can start the new stuff now.' I feel like the tension that came before the album’s release and wanting to get it out caused a lot of stress. It left us feeling a bit weird creatively. But as soon as that was done, we were like, 'Now is our time.'"
A LOT OF 'WHITE NOISE' REVOLVED AROUND THE SUPERNATURAL. WILL THAT THEME RETURN ON YOUR NEW ALBUM?
"Yeah, I definitely think that's something that'll continue. But I think it'll touch upon different topics as well. I want to create different things, not just one thing or the other. We're never going to make the same record twice, but it's definitely still cathartic and moody, as well as a little dark. I don't know if we could ever make a happy record."
