Consideration - this **** is a sacred bop . 5/5
James Joint - always liked this little gem, but as with many songs on the album it should be longer 4/5
Kiss It Better - this album's "big" song 5/5
Work - grow on me a lot in 24h, it's a good choice for a lead 4.5/5
Desperado - interesting production and performance 4/5
Woo - meh., can't get into into this 3/5
Needed Me - it serves me FKA twigs and Tinashe teas, it's definitely fits her good, but i'm not too convinced 3.5/5
Yeah, I Said It - another track that serves its duty in being experimental, new for Rih yet fitting her very good, but still not clicking on me 3.5/5
Same Ol' Mistakes - I wanna get into Tame Impala, I heard some their work and they're in my checklist. I was genuinely surprised to know Rih recorded a cover for ANTI. This is certainly a one of a kind song for her, but who knows if it was really recorded for her or yet she's just singing over it. Anyway, the them of the song fits her so well and being ANTI "centerpiece" it captures a lot of different emotions. 4.5/5
Never Ending - ...boring 2/5
Love on the Brain - My fav off ANTI thus far. Lovely, incredible bittersweet love song just as good as Rihanna's previous thematic songs 5/5 (with merit)
Higher - i'm tempted to give it a 1/5...just because I love this too much, it makes me wanna cry, it's too ****ing short I will never forgive her. She need to release an extended version. 5/5
Close to You - Unforgivable old school performance. Crying 5/5
Goodnight Gotham - I would have forgiven it if this was ultimately the intro, but now...and the cool synths featured in the ANTIDiary R2 version were also edited and chopped. a mess and a half...no, not even the half 1/5
Pose - horrible song but catchy 2.5/5
Sex with Me - boring. even if this was just a deluxe bonus, I would have never closed an album like ANTI with a track like this one. 2.5/5
And this gets another 1/5 vote for not having FFS, BBHMM and AO in it even if they would have fitted very well and lifted the quality of the album
so it's an average 3.5/5 for me. Tis a pity, I was expecting a lot more - but the good parts of it definitely overshadows the bad parts. i will keep playing it in the coming weeks.
