I was so hyped for this album and I don't think a Rihanna album has ever let me down so much. The whole album is so sleepy and boring that the only interesting song is "Work" which is already sub-par (and maybe "Woo")

The fact that we waited this long for this mess is kinda upsetting. It's poorly constructed electro-R&B that already sounds two years too late. She would've been better off including the initial three singles (which are all better than anything here) and running with that direction

Yes. I'm very surprised. I heard 'Work' this morning and didn't like it and thought the entire album was going to be crappy because of this. But I was pleasently surprised. The album is actually very good. I love the production in some of the songs.

The production on 'Work' is horrible though. I don't know why she released that as the lead.

I don't know why you are all into this "maturing", "darker" thing. That's what most want from Katy Perry as well but this kind of music just turns them into some bland and lame chicks.

Nah it's pretty much as I expected. A good but kinda meh album.
