If I ran over my friend's dog by accident, does that mean I shouldn't apologize to them just because it was an accident? Negligence is not an excuse. And Janet had been pushing the envelope sexually for years whereas Justin was fairly clean-cut up to that point, of course people were going to assign more of the blame to her. I just don't understand why she hesitated to apologize; it wasn't a matter of principle.

My bad, Janet did apologize after the fact now that I look back on MTV's archives. I honestly don't see where her anger at Justin came from though. His apology was as standard and straightforward as hers and MTV's was. That's just what irks me about her and it's just another reason why I turned off on her in the last several years--she took her anger out on him for the way others treated her, it really has nothing to do with what he did or said. She took no cues from it either and kept on singing about raunch--it was hard for anyone to sympathize with that.

She isn't angry with Justin at all, and she herself has said (on Oprah) that she's fine with Justin. She just wished he hadn't left her hanging, but he did. I don't think she should stop doing what she wants to because of an accident. She's a true artist, she sings about what she wants to, not what sells. Sex sells, but somehow the world never got Janet's sex.
