From what we've seen so far: Michael Jackson. Best selling album in history, #1 hits one after the other, multiple Grammy awards, the most popular music video of all time, iconic looks and dance moves, sounds that musicians are still sampling, etc.

1. The fan base names thing and social media thing started with Lady Gaga.
2. The teen idol thing has always existed, you might be a teenager but before Justin there was The New Kids On The Block, The Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, Britney Spears, Hilary Duff, Hannah Montana, The Jonas Brothers, etc.
3. The Bieber haircut is something I won't deny.
4. Being a glogal hate figure has nothing to do with this.

This trend was started by Kygo and his WW smash "Firestone". Some elements of this music are also heard in the most streamed song in Spotify's history, "Lean On". Justin just followed the trend.

This thread is disgusting and disrespectful to MJ. Not to mention in the wrong section.
