I think people confuse racism and white supremacy. Racism can be localized and personal. Sure. But the system of white supremacy only goes one way. Think India, Africa, South America, early North America, and the rest of Asia.

At it's worst, it affects even other "lesser" whites (i.e. Hitler and Jews).

Yeah, I kind of realized this too. By the way, I agree with pretty much every other thing you said! I was just mad because some people really were being ignorant and disrespectful and I was already kind of upset.

EDIT: I feel like this is the calm after the storm. The people who really care about discussing these issues (and not just storming in, saying something stupid, getting a few kii's and leaving

) stay here to have mature discussions without the all-caps, the accusations, and the miscommunication.

That's the biggest problem with ATRL, there is a lot of room for actual debate and healthy discussion, but you learn the hard way that it's more effective to just lunge at people rather than provide walls of texts that some troll will just respond

to.

I completely agree! Kudos to you, too!

I think the reason is that a lot of people are emotionally tied to this issue because so many have been victims of racist things in the past.

Don't get me wrong, it's great to be passionate about a topic; both of us obviously are. But when people bring emotions into it, it usually doesn't turn out very well.
