Discussion: HBO host blames China for hollywood's diversity problem

As I know, Chinese market is only crazy for the Hollywood blockbusters, or more importantly only the films that have potential of commercial success are 'allowed' to open in China.

The Martian is the only film out of all the 8 movies which got nominated for the best pictures and none of the movies which got nominated in the acting categories were opened or planned to open in China.

The Oscars don't really appreciate those commercial films anyways, so #OprahWhatIsTheTruth.Gif

Chinese ppl is actually really racist to other foreigner, especially for black people though. I am chinese and I can prove that. Plus, how they treat that black guy on the Star War poster can also shows (sry i didnt watch Star War). They call foreigner “老外”(old foreigner) and "黑鬼" (Black Ghost) and they aren't even joking most of the time when they say it

. Sometime I am really ashamed of them.

Asia may lack diversity and discriminate against different ethnicity. However, that is not the root cause of Hollywood lacks diversity.

Racists are everywhere, every race calling other races nicknames and slurs, not just Asians.

That Host is trying to pass off Hollywood problems onto China when everyone knows China is full of pirates.
