In the gaming industry ( games only not consoles) , especially fighting games, no one really cares about sales. It's a cute thing to mention the sales as an achievement. In the end, the game's quality is what matters. But answering the question I think SF will sell more. Although I prefer Tekken.
EDIT : the OP needs to chill a bit. Tekken is the best selling fighting franchise, even if this one flops ( it won't obviously) they can release at least three more Tekken games.

Who really cares about Tekken nowadays, last I played it was at bowling zone in the arcade section where it was collecting dust cuz nobody was interested in playing. Sfv automatically wins.

the last SF game had 3 versions of the SAME game, the last version came out in 2014!! They even released it on the 3DS!
They milk the sh*t out of any successful SF game. Tekken on the other hand doesn't have these messy releases and they take their time on each game. That's why it's the best the selling fighting franchise.

Can't blame Capcom for releasing more content the poeple want for the game that people love and still play, the fact that the re releases keep on selling and being successful means much about the games quality, whereas no1 even wants to touch the vanilla versions if Tekken games (like T7, or TTT2 which bombed), let alone re releases
