Marilyn Manson has been released from their recording contract with Interscope Records and are already writing new material for their next album. Speaking with Metal Hammer, Manson had the following to say on the subject:

“We’ve just been released from our record contract with Interscope so I think a lot of the creative control on which my hands were tied on a lot of choices – the music videos – things like that. And the first example is the newest video, they clearly wouldn’t have allowed me to make that video. So we started writing new songs on the road – a bit like [David Bowie’s album] ‘Aladdin Sane’ – I think people can expect a new record a lot sooner than we [expected].”

I need another Holy Wood. Promotion for The High End of Low was awful.

Another album? And what happened with The High End of Low?

The Golden Age of Grotesque was the last album I really enjoyed from Manson. Too bad they didn't release more singles from it.

"Armageddon" performed terribly on the charts. "Running to the Edge of the World" has a music video but I guess they're not releasing it as a single.

I can agree on that. I liked few tracks on Eat Me, Drink Me but couldn't swallow The High End of Low even though "We're from America" was damn 'catchy'.

I never knew Marilyn Manson was a band.

I wish they make another "If I Was Your Vampire".
