Confused about the #IndependentArtist hashtag. Did she leave No I.D.'s label or get dropped or sth? Or is being signed to No I.D.'s small label the same as being independent?

I have no idea but I'm praying she has because they didn't know what they were doing with her voice!

Oh cool. The major label wasn't doing **** for her anyway, other than sending So Emotional to radio (and then watch it not take off).

It's great that she's still with No I.D. It's a small label, but at least she's being treated properly and she's not completely on her own

Right? Emotional was cute but it could've been better. Her voice suits an orchestraic type of sound... the minimalistic thing they were doing with her didn't suit the richness of her voice
