I think the point about talent that you are missing is that while someone may have a natural inclination toward a talent, no one is born an expert in their talent. Artist like Whitney and Beyoncé may be naturally gifted singers but they also had to work to an extent to perfect their craft and technique. Their natural inclination just made it easier for them.

Yes, they had the motivation and the drive to go for their goals. THAT is what should be praised, not them being born with the natural ability to sing.
This is the exact point I echoed in another thread recently. Being talented deserves no praise! Being gifted with capable vocal chords is about as impressive as as being born with a nice rack. I aint to kiss someones arse just because they were born good at something. That is sooo objectionable 2 me
Well if you're good at singing, you can be a singer.
If you have a good rack, you can be a **** star.

A lot of people have motivation and drive, but that doesn't mean that's what they should be pursuing

Rihanna and Selena Gomez use their personalities to captivate the gp and have a good ear for hits which are also talents that clearly work based on their success.
Atrl seems to think a high vocal range is the only talent which doesn't even make sense because you're born with that. Having a good singing technique is a talent, having a high vocal range is not a talent.
Talent means nothing if we're talking about Demi Lovato because she's a flop, but it's suddenly relevant when we talk about Lady Gaga because she's also a flop "but she has an Oscar nomination!!!1!!!1!!!1!!1!1"
