This isn't anything new. When he came out in 2010, he did the same thing. Oprah called him "bisexual," but he said no, corrected her and said he's gay. Then he went out of his way to
stress that he's had sexual relationships with women and he enjoyed them. It's obvious why. Gay guys do this in real life too. I lost my virginity to a girl and some people are actually impressed. One guy even told me it made me more attractive.

OMG his fans are SO homophobic. On IG, they literally say his ex-boyfriend was that "thing" that made him "sick" and now that they broke up, Ricky is better now.
I believe him when he says he's willing to play with women like Adam Lambert said he did with female friends, but I think it's so sad that this is what Ricky has to say to make people like him and respect him. It's like the Modern Family episode where Mitchell brags about having sex with a woman.

It's not even just pandering to his fans. There's a status in a man being desired by women and having sex with them. It's not the same with being physical with men. He didn't even have any PDA with his ex-boyfriend although there was plenty of PDA with his ex-girlfriends when he pretended to be straight. He's a people-pleasing, approval-seeking type.
