When I was younger I remember people would always call out other males for listening to female artists. Even as an adult. The only thing I will say EDM has done good for the music industry is that is has broken down that barrier/wall. It became acceptable to listen to EDM songs with female vocalists and that transformed into mainstream/other genres.
Of course they do. It's not usually "stanning" but even straight guys like music by females. My brother is the most stereotypical straight guy ever and he like Adele singles and songs like What's My Name or Truffle Butter or Same Old Love.
