People who will argue over a 10 cent price difference (bitch I will give you the damn dime out of my ****ing pocket, it's a ****ing dime, do NOT hold my line up for a price check over anything less than a dollar)

GP thinking the world is going to end because they hear "snow" we live in 2016, snow plows/salt trucks exist, you're not trapped, there's no reason the front end needs to be mobbed

Last minute shoppers (holidays) who come in and complain we don't have turkeys/other items when it's the day before Thanksgiving.

People who put Perishables on TOP of the refrigerators or somewhere within the vicinity of an employee who can put it back in the proper chilled spot and then complain that the prices are high. HELLO, YOU'RE THE REASON.

People who get in line, then say "oh can i get one thing" Ugh, dont hold my line up because you forgot to get something on the complete opposite side of the store. It makes me feel awkward because other customers get annoyed.

Stupid jokes, "haha i just printed that bill today" "haha it doesnt scan it must be free" shut up, i hear it every day, it's not funny or original

People who buy a $2 item and give us a $100...I usually give back a $50 if i have it to be inconvenient or ask them if they have anything smaller because I AM NOT THE BANK.

People getting $200 (our max) cash back when I just got on the register (we have no twenties, a round of change, a few tens, a few fives, and 100 singles, and change in the trays). taking my whole drawer

When you take that job, you are there to serve people. If you can't be nice to people and actually provide good customer service for a few hours then you need to find a job that doesn't involve working with people.

I've worked in all sectors of retail btw and I am also training to be a nurse which is WAY more stressful than stocking shelves or handling some cash whilst wearing a smile. People need to stop being so stuck up.

when people argue over pricing, and then give me attitude bc apparently it is my fault the price is wrong.
getting asked what a price of something was AFTER the transaction finished and I handed them a receipt.
Impatient customers, ESPECIALLY men, they get so moody.
People who have Food Stamps and buy the whole store with 2 full carts of Frozen/Junk food, and have me bag everything, only to have them leave the second cart bc they can't afford it.. like keep track of what you can buy before you get to my line.
People who have alcohol and get in my line knowing I am underage, like it is pretty obvious, and get mad when I have to call and wait for a manager to override and scan it for them.

I'm sorry but this sounds SO snotty and childish. These people are working long hours, sometimes for minimum wage, and they have to constantly deal with rude customers who believe in the "customers are always right" mantra (spoiler alert, they're not. actually they're rarely if ever right). Customers also tend to think that employees are their personal slaves, and they can order them around as much as they want. I used to work in a grocery store and lawd after dealing with multiple rude, self entitled customers every day it was hard for me to act upbeat. Retail employees often get mistreated by customers who think that they're the center of the universe and deserve special treatment, so it's understandable why one would not be in the best mood after a while. people who complain about retail employees or any employees that work with the public sound like spoiled brats who don't understand what it's like to actually work for a living I mean right here in your own post you are saying they should be grateful that you're wasting any of your precious time and money on them, and telling them that their work is unimportant

If you work in the clothes department, when you have to fold and arrange a bunch of **** by size and then some messy woman [it's ALWAYS a woman btw bc retail has taught me that female shoppers are sloppy] will come in and pull something out aggressively from the middle of the pile and mess up the whole thing.
