Some of the costumes look cheap af, which is a shame. Any designer would have happily designed and customized her fashion for this show. Those ugly sequined tights.

Do you understand fashion? If you consider these looks to be high (or even on-trend) fashion then you clearly do not.

That being said, these are meant for the stage and will be extra sparkly and flashy. It's not a fashion show.

I guess Versace and Donatella know what are they doing, thank you very much.

Just because she used big names doesn't make this "fashion". Donatella isn't putting these looks down her current runways, is she? Saying thing like "oh you don't like it? Well you just don't understand fashion" is silly if there's nothing remotely fashionable about it. This is the type of looks she's been wearing for years now. This isn't fashion. This style. And those are two different things.

Who cares about the fashion/outfits? Bitch could slay with a cardboard box!

Are people not allowed to simply dislike anything anymore? It's not like anyone came in here and spewed abrasiveness. My issue is simply that most of these outfits look like she got them from a costume rental, Idc which label they're from. I oddly like the one with the headpiece best. That one slays.

I guess you missed when I pointed out that these are stage costumes and therefor their look is completely appropriate and just saw me correcting someone talking about fashion.

1991 isn't a current runway. We could find references for everything a popstar wears, even someone like Kelly Clarkson, but that doesn't mean that she's evoking a sense of "fashion".

There's nothing wrong with what I've said. I'm merely stating that this is not Fashion with a capital F, it is style. Donatella designed for J.Lo looks that are true to her brand and style. But just because it was Donatella does not make this a current, fashion-relevant look.

Saying, "I guess you don't know fashion" and then citing an image that is 25 years old is a bit silly.

I didn't see this edit and I didn't want it to seem that I purposely left out the more recent example you provided.

This is the Spring/Summer 2013 Couture show, right? Which means it was shown and created in 2012 which makes it about 4 years old at this point. It's a more current example, but still rather distant from the now which is so important in fashion. It is a good example though and clearly shows the Versace influence in the sparkle details.

Why people who don't even stan or follow Jennifer even bother to come in here?
