This is a serious thread. I really thought that she was gonna smash because of the pre-era hype on here before she released CFTS. She lost weight, looked great and vowed to get a grammy in 2015. Everything looked very promising!
But everything came crashing down after she became a meme with "Delete It Fat" and "Poot Lovato".
Is this what hurt her? Confident tanked on all fronts (streaming, singles, album sales, radio) What happened?
They haven't even sold over 1M copies in the US

Yes they are fairly big hits. Not smashes, but still peaking in the top 20/40 or whatever. 'Tank' suggests that it barely touches the charts, stop being a drama queen
both singles went top 10 on pop radio.
cfts reached #11 on bb and confident #21
Plus, non of her albums sold that much so quickly.
for her level, she's no flopping.
It didn't tank. The sales declined a lot. If it was 2013 CFTS would've sold around 2M. Her first two singles did both great & they were definitely decent hits.
Cool For The Summer was a Top 15 hit and was played frequently on radio here in New York. I'd say it was a moderate hit. Confident (single) was a terrible follow up to Cool For The Summer and ironically I think CFTS is the album's standout track.
