Sandra Bullock was nominated Best Actress for the SciFi movie Gravity which has the very close genre or theme with the movie Passengers

Gravity is NOT sci-fi. It's something that could 100% happen today, and people have in fact had various accidents and mishaps in space. Alfonso Cuaron HIMSELF said it's not sci-fi.
Meanwhile, Passengers is about "a spacecraft traveling to a distant colony planet and transporting thousands of people has a malfunction in one of its sleep chambers. As a result, a single passenger is awakened 60 years early." Now WHEN has this happened? WHEN will it be possible? Did I miss the memo where Obama is sending a bunch of Americans to another planet and putting them into a comatose state for decades?
