I'm in Environmental Science (aka Geography x Biology) and ignorant threads like this make my blood boil
Geography is more than just pointing out countries on maps - which you should be able to do actually. It's learning about the very Earth you live in. Physical and human geography are super important - from conservation, development planning... to weather forecast, building infrastructure...
But since some of you dummies like to remember iTunes peaks and argue who is more iconic, then go ahead More job opportunities for people who actually appreciate the science and work for it

To broaden your horizons & not live in an ignorant little bubble.

And like it has been stated; geography is much more than simply "where something is on a map". It's important to learn how the Earth works and how we as humans are responsible for its conservation.

It will help you when it comes to cultural appropriation, assimilation, learning about the environment you live in and how the geography and demographic of where you live affects the city, you and financial ventures. etc, but i'm rambling on.. basically it's not really a subject i'd major in but i'd minor in it and take it into detail.

Has anyone mentioned Atlantis yet?
