Yep, its true. I think she's afraid of GP reception of the group with five vocals. And of course everyone would compare the old version to the new one. We can deny it would be risky but thats what she has to do with she really wants this comeback to happen.
I'm a Jessica stan and I'm totally fine with Nicole still having most of vocals. A share of vocals like in Beep would be enough - 2 verses for Melody/Jessica/Carmit, some lines for Kim and Ashley. Leave choruses and rest of the song to Nicole (although I loved how Mel & Nicole sounded together in Painted Windows chorus and Melody, Carmit & Nicole in Supernatural, love me some shared chorus from time to time)

I would love a PCD reunion, it would bring back to many great memories. But i'd prefer Nicole focuses on herself. She has a chance to make an impact in the music world and elevate her status as just another popstar.
Elevate her status? She's been trying for years and she's gotten nothing but some success in the UK and even them have stopped following her every move. It'd be better for her to reunite with the girls since that would get lots of attention and might help her to be the star she stopped being after PCD split and she's been trying to be for years.
I think you guys forget that the Dolls were in a living-hell when the group split. They all shaded Robin and Nicole. They all looked devasted. They all looked unhappy. Of course they moved on and the good memories will always be there, but they're not Robin's puppets anymore. Every single one of them released a song dishing the group or the idea of being a backup dancer. It's prety simple to see that they want the spotlight if the group comes back. They want to have a voice. On Nicole's BTM, Ashley said "we felt like our wings were cut off" cause it was never meant for them to shine on the group. Lemme quote her:
"We're always told it was very much Nicole’s project,” she shrugs. “They said that we were the football team, and she was the quarterback. You know, we weren’t allowed to talk in interviews. We weren’t even allowed in the studio sometimes.”
But she doesn’t want to talk about that. It’s too negative, and Roberts, you quickly realise, works hard to maintain radiant sunshine in a world of stormclouds.
They really seem to be interested to go back to that place again, sure hahahaha
And lets not forget everything that happened with Mel and Jess as well
What happened between them? Spill that hot tea.
I do remember they were shady while opening for a Britney concert back in 2009.
I said the UK version has great ratings, cause Ashley works there but whatever.
And I agree that Robin should change some things for this comeback, but my point in this whole conversation is that she didnt change her mind yet. She hasnt offered something new yet. Thats why I'm saying none of them are really interested in coming back to the group. If she changes ner mind, it'll happen, cause like I said, they want the spotlight.
And no, you're so damn wrong about the money issue. Just because you want to be in the industry, you want to be a singer or a tv host, it doesnt mean you're there for the money. Nicole always wanted to be a solo artist, always wanted to be a singer. If she only cared about the money, she could just do what Rita Ora does.
I'm sorry, but you're naive to think that money (and fame) plays not factor in this. It's a job. There are millions of artists around the world and most of them don't want to be rich or famous. In fact, some of them think it's disgusting to even have a song included in a TV commercial. Part of being a pop star is the fame and money. No one saying they're greedy, pathetic people, but part of becoming a star is because of a need for validation through fame and money. Otherwise, they could have just been those small local artists in LA, Nashville and NYC. There are millions of them.
By the way, just because you dream of fame and money doesn't mean you'll sleep around and/or become desperate. Everyone has standards and that's clearly against Nicole's, Ashley's, etc.

Yas, Melody was WAY shady on Circus Tour. The tension was high between her and Nicole. After the split, she dished Nic in interviews, songs and in every way she found to do it. When Nicole's Behind The Music aired in 2012, Mel was on fire on twitter, cause Nicole said she did 95% of PCD on her own. They moved on and seem to be ok these days (they always like each other's pics on instagram).
But the real war is between Nicole and Jessica. And I stan for both Well, things weren't going well back in 2009, the group was falling apart and everyone from outside could see it. And then during the tour, Jess broke her rib. She had to recover, so they decided to send her home. But it didnt felt like home, cause they left her in LA - without any support, acording to Jess. After some time, she decided to left the group. And went to the media, claiming Nicole was the star and everything was all about Nicole (that even Scherzy decided the on-camera time of every Doll on the videos).
Nicole never replied to any of these "acusations", but all the stories (told by the Dolls) match. And since those days, it's war. Speaking about PCD to Wendy Williams, Nicole said she's still in touch with "most of them" and everyone knows the only one she doesn't talk is Jessica. Sutta even released diss songs as I Wanna Be Bad and Feline Resurrection. It's actually pretty upsetting to see them like this, cause they used to be real close in the beggining.
btw Jessica isn't the only one that released a diss track. Ashley released "My Song" and Kimberly released "Not Just a Doll".

What kind of DailyMail tabloid version of events.
If Melody was so angry and fuming, why did she attend Nicole's Dancing with the Stars shows? Melody left PCD and was classy. The only time she showed anger was in her concert outburst. She also joked on Twitter about having 5% of the vocals by saying "and the 5% speaks!"
And those songs are not diss tracks towards Nicole. Feline Resurrection, My Song and Not Just a Doll are all about the same thing-----showing that they have an identity and aren't just dolls, which is why they left the group.
This is just like when DM interviewed Carmit in 2012 and completely changed her words to create drama. Carmit and Melody were pissed on Twitter because they changed her words to create a sense of a cat fight.

I'm dramatic LOL
But you forgot that Behind The Music really pissed Melody and the other dolls. She's wasn't joking, she tweet the link to Ash's song "All In A Day" saying "5% has spoken!". If that is not a shade, I really don't know what it is.
And you cant deny that Jess and Nicole are still not over it. I really want them to talk and forget the past.
That pic from Kim's wedding would've been so much prettier (if that's possible) with Nicole on it. </3

I noticed.
I remember Melody's tweet, but I didn't take it as shade. It seem like a "SMH" type of joke because Nicole said she sang 95% of the songs.
I want Jess and Nicole to reconcile too! I noticed on Twitter/IG that Jess and Nicole are the only ones who don't follow each other. I hate when people hold onto the past. And I don't like how Nicole is so introverted and doesn't take steps to reach out to people. This is the entertainment business. You can't just keep to yourself and be shy.
